we know
Our many years of study enables us to challenge widespread assumptions about human value. This has created critical shifts in thinking – to allow leaders to cultivate increased individual agency .
Human value begins with inputs, not outputs.
End results, such as increased engagement and retention, are outcomes of an intentional human strategy. Leaders maximize value when they focus less on managing to performance metrics and more on the individual experiences that drive them.
Purpose drives performance.
Our 2012 study confirms organizations are not effectively linking employee purpose to organizational purpose. When individual contribution is intentionally linked to organizational imperative, performance becomes an outcome.
INTENTIONAL THINKING creates mindful leaders
In an execution-obsessed world, leaders lack opportunities for reflection and ideation. Critical thinking is the opposite of “slowing down.” It creates a multiplier of value, enabling essentialism and problem-solving to best navigate the wicked problems of our time.

Human Value

Symbio tackles these and other questions through a rigorous study of Human Capital Value. Our findings and assessments are meaningfully reshaping the way organizations measure and maximize the value of their people.
PURPOSE
Symbio conducted a multi-phased study focused on the role of individual meaning in the workplace. Through partnerships with business leaders and their teams, we implement our findings to influence real practices.
Symbio’s foundational 2012 research demonstrates the five main aspects of purpose that build upon one another to enhance engagement. We have developed an assessment to measure individual purpose and invite you to take part.
